What to Expect from Apple’s iPhones This 2019

2018’s iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR might still be on its way to your country but we are already looking forward to Apple’s 2019 iPhones.

Rumor has it that Apple will release three new iPhones this year. We are to expect an iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max, and an updated version of the iPhone XR thanks to a report from Wall Street Journal.

Apple has not even spoken about their latest iPhones yet but leaks are starting to make headlines. TechXO gathered all the rumors about the next flagship iPhone and we are very excited to share it with you.

Rumored Specifications

A leaked iPhone 11 render presents a triple-lens rear camera system. According to reports, the third camera sensor will be used to capture more light, depth data, which will also allow wide-angle images and giving an option to improve the quality of an image after it has been taken.

However, rumor says only one variant - the premium variant - will have this triple rear camera setup. The other 2 will get a dual camera setup which is horizontally aligned at the back panel.

The 2019 iPhones will be the first to ship with iOS 13 that might feature a system-wide dark mode.

Ming-Chi Kuo, “the most accurate Apple analyst in the world says Apple” would probably keep the same 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.5-inch screen sizes. Much more likely, the iPhone XR will still sport Apple’s proprietary Liquid Retina LCD and the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max will still sport OLED screens.

2019 iPhones will feature a new underwater mode. These phones will still work under the pouring rain as it will feature a new waterproof display that will allow the screen to recognize taps and gestures even though the phone is submerged under water.

Apple might have worked on improving connectivity for indoor navigation and positioning, larger batteries and improved Face ID.

Patents have been approved for a full-screen Touch ID to keep up with Android smartphone’s in-display finger print scanner.

The latest iPhones is rumored to have “bilateral wireless charging” that will let the iPhone charge other devices similar to Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro. However, Apple’s version only charges other Apple devices.

Ar reported by Digitimes, Apples’s latest iphones will pack a TSMC 7nm A13 CPU. TSMC will still be the sole manufacturer of Apple’s A-series chip. Rumor says the chipmaker will adopt extreme ultraviolet lithography for Apple’s chips for the 1st time.

Forbes’ Gordon Kelly on the latest iPhone 2019 leaks, “Working with XDA Developer’s popular sleuth Max Weinbach, EverythingApplePro have known the iPhone 11 does not mark the end of 3D Touch (as was feared) but sees the phone double down on the technology behind it. In the major advancement of Apple’s ‘tactic’ engine to date, EAP explains it will be expanded to cover a 3x3 grid across the new iPhone’s entire display and adding more precise vibrations so input response is more tactile on every part of the screen.”

“Building on this, EAP also clarifies that Apple’s 2019 iPhone display will work underwater. This would be a first in the industry because, while many phones are water resistant these days, their displays have to be dry to operate properly,” he added.

Release date and Price

We again expect Apple to launch its iPhones in September but the tech giant has not yet officially confirmed it yet. The rumored launching date was based on the launching dates of previous iPhones XS and XS Max that were released in September followed by the launch of XR in October 2018. iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus were also launched in September of 2017. Prices are expected to be the same as last year’s prices range.
